India’s National Solar Mission has the target of producing 20GW by the end of 2020. The mission was launched in 2010. Our country’s biggest solar power plants are located in Rajasthan, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. Know all special facts about these solar power plants in the article below.

India ranks third in Asia and fourth in the world in terms of solar power production. National Solar Mission was launched in  India  in 2010 . The target set was to develop 20GW by the end of 2020. This has however been crossed long back as there has been heavy activity in this sector since then. Now the Government of India aims to extend the utilization of solar energy upto 100 GW by 2022.   

Right now, the country is only using 38% of its total capacity of renewable energy. Also, the world’s largest solar park would be constructed in Rajasthan.

Some of the country’s biggest solar power plants are located in  Rajasthan, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

1. Bhadla Solar Park, Rajasthan


Location: Jodhpur district of Rajasthan

Power Generation: 2055 MW

Area of Park: 14000 acres

It is the world's biggest solar park in terms of power generation and second largest in terms of area. The average temperatures in Bhadla range between 46 and 48 degrees centigrades. The geography is quite against the solar plant as hot winds and sand storms cover the place frequently. Bhadla is a sandy, dry and arid region spread in about 45 square kilometres. The average money spent in the plant is around 10,000 crore. 

This Solar plant is under development by multiple stakeholders. Development Company Limited (a subsidiary of Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation Limited), Saurya Urja Company (joint venture company of the government of Rajasthan and IL&FS Energy Development Company), and Adani Renewable Energy Park Rajasthan are responsible for its construction and maintenan


2. Pavagada Solar Park




Location: Palavalli, Karnataka

Power Generation: 2000MW

Area of Park: 13000 acres

This solar park is located in Karnataka which is estimated to be hosting many solar plants due to its highly supportive geography. It has become operational since last year and is the second biggest solar power parks in the world in terms of energy. Shakti Sthala Pavagada Solar Park in Karnataka is one of the world’s biggest solar parks in the country

This solar park is developed by the Karnataka Solar Park Development Corporation Limited (KSPDCL) which is a joint venture between the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) and the Karnataka Renewable Energy (KREDL), with help from the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) 


3. Kurnool Ultra Mega Solar Park, Andhra Pradesh


Location: Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh

Power Generation: 1000 MW

Area of Park: 5932 acres

Kurnool Ultra Mega Solar Park is spread over 5,932.32 acres of area in Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh and is one of the world’s largest solar park at the time. This plant was set up within two years by Andhra Pradesh Solar Power Corporation jointly with Solar Energy Corporation, Andhra Pradesh Generation Corporation and New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation using INR 7,143 crore.

A 1,500MW solar park is also set to become operational in the nearby district of Kadapa, which is accompanied by two more large-scale solar power plants. It would be helpful in raising the state’s solar energy capacity by an additional 2,750MW.


 4. NP Kunta Ultra Mega Solar Park




Location: Anathapuram, Andhra Pradesh

Power Generation: 1500 MW 

Area of  Park: 7924 acres

This solar park is also known as Ananthapuram Ultra Mega Solar Park is spread over a total area of 7,924.76 acres in Nambulapulakunta Mandal in the Ananthapur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Commissioned in May 2016, this park is owned by Andhra Pradesh Solar Power Corporation Private Limited, APSPCL.

This park is divided into two parts Anathapuram 1 and Anathpuram 2. The former would be generating 1500 MW while the latter would be responsible for 500 MW power gene


5. Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Plant




Location: Rewa, Madhya Pradesh

Power Generation: 750 MW

Area of Park: 1590 acres


Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL), is the agency responsible for the implementation of the project. It is a joint venture between the Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikash Nigam Limited (MPUVNL) and the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI).

This is India’s first and only solar project till date that has been funded from the Clean Technology Fund, CTF. It is also India’s only solar power plant to have obtained a concessional loan from the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation. With an investment of Rs. 2,800 crore, the commissioning of this plant reportedly saved Delhi Metro Rs 1,400 crore over its project life.

The solar parks listed above were the most important five solar parks of India on the basis of their power generation capacity. Listed below are the parks that are already commissioned or would be commissioned in the coming years.

Although the study did indicate positive results, it was small with only 38 participants.

Nutrients in the onion juice applied to the hair may nourish the hair follicles, which might increase volume, shine, and improve hair strength. The extra nutrition may also minimize breakages and thinning.

Dietary sulfur


One theory on how onion juice can help hair regrowth is that onions contain dietary sulfur.

Sulfur is one of the most common minerals in the body. It is needed for adequate production of enzymes and proteins. Sulfur is also found in keratin, which is one of the components of hair.


The sulfur in onion juice may provide the hair with the nourishment it needs to grow. It may also increase the growing phase of the hair.


Anti-microbial properties

Onions have anti-bacterial properties, which may help fight scalp infections.

In some cases, a scalp infection can contribute to hair loss. A healthy scalp is more likely to have strong hair follicles.


Antioxidants

Onions contain antioxidants, such as flavonoids. Antioxidants are believed to protect the body from free radicals.

Free radicals are thought to contribute to the aging process. For example, free radicals may destroy the hair follicles and lead to thinning and loss of the hair.

Cancelling out or decreasing free radicals may reduce damage to the hair follicles.


Application


For those who want to try using onion juice to improve hair health or promote regrowth, the process is simple.

To make onion juice, people should follow these steps:

Peel about four onions and chop them into small pieces

Extract the juice out of the onion by either squeezing it or using a juicer.

Another option is placing the onion pieces into a blender and blending into a paste. Place the paste in cheesecloth and squeeze all the juice out.

Apply the juice to the scalp or the hair roots.

A few drops of essential oil may also help decrease the potent odor of the juice. Peppermint, lavender, and rosemary essential oils can be good options to dilute the smell.

Currently, there are no commercial products, such as shampoos, that contain onion juice.

However, commercially prepared onion juice and onion liquid extract are available for those who do not want to make their own.

Gujarat has  obtain the chance to host the National Games for the first time in the history of state.

GANDHINAGAR: For the first time since the formation of Gujarat, the state will host the National Games in September and October this year. Chief minister Bhupendra Patel on Friday announced that the state will host the 36th edition of the National Games between September 27 and October 10.

"Gujarat will host the 36th National Games from September 27 to October 10. I am thankful to the IOA (Indian Olympic Association) for accepting Gujarat's  screamer to organize the event in the state," chief minister Patel announced in a tweet this morning.

Patel said that since Gujarat is well- provide  with world-class sports  base , the state administration will leave no stone unturned to make this edition of the National Games the best sporting event so far.

Elaborating on this amazing phenomenon, NASA experts said that the International Space Station orbits the Earth every 90 minutes, so that they see a sunset every 45 minutes and a sunrise within the next 45 minutes.  Sculpture in the Indian subcontinent, partly because of the  weather of the Indian subcontinent makes the long-term survival of organic materials difficult, essentially consists of sculpture of stone, metal or terracotta. It is clear there was a great deal of painting, and sculpture in wood and ivory, during these periods, but there are only a few survivals. The main Indian religions had all, after hesitant starts, developed the use of religious sculpture by around the start of the Common Era, and the use of stone was becoming increasingly widespread.


The first known sculpture in the Indian subcontinent is from the Indus Valley civilization, and a more widespread tradition of small terracotta figures, mostly either of women or animals, which predates it.[1] After the collapse of the Indus Valley civilization there is little record of larger sculpture until the Buddhist era, apart from a hoard of copper figures of (somewhat controversially) c. 1500 BCE from Daimabad.[2] Thus the great tradition of Indian monumental sculpture in stone appears to begin relatively late, with the reign of Asoka from 270 to 232 BCE, and the Pillars of Ashoka he erected around India, carrying his edicts and topped by famous sculptures of animals, mostly lions, of which six survive.[3] Large amounts of figurative sculpture, mostly in relief, survive from Early Buddhist pilgrimage stupas, above all Sanchi; these probably developed out of a tradition using wood that also embraced Hinduism.[4]


During the 2nd to 1st century BCE in far northern India, in the Greco-Buddhist art of Gandhara from what is now southern Afghanistan and northern Pakistan, sculptures became more explicit, representing episodes of the Buddha's life and teachings.


The pink sandstone Hindu, Jain and Buddhist sculptures of Mathura from the 1st to 3rd centuries CE reflected both native Indian traditions and the Western influences received through the Greco-Buddhist art of Gandhara, and effectively established the basis for subsequent Indian religious sculpture.[4] The style was developed and diffused through most of India under the Gupta Empire (c. 320–550) which remains a "classical" period for Indian sculpture, covering the earlier Ellora Caves,[5] though the Elephanta Caves are probably slightly later.[6] Later large scale sculpture remains almost exclusively religious, and generally rather conservative, often reverting to simple frontal standing poses for deities, though the attendant spirits such as apsaras and yakshi often have sensuously curving poses. Carving is often highly detailed, with an intricate backing behind the main figure in high relief. The celebrated bronzes of the Chola dynasty (c. 850–1250) from south India, many designed to be carried in processions, include the iconic form of Shiva as Nataraja,[7] with the massive granite carvings of Mahabalipuram[8] dating from the previous Pallava dynasty.[9]

There are a number of  element that  donate to poor battery life on your Android phone.  delicate bodies, brighter screens, faster processors, more background software, and speedier internet connections all take their toll on phone batteries, but manufacturers are also  absorb more powerful batteries to  recompenses.


The Google Pixel 6 Pro has a 5,003mAh battery that can last for over 22 hours. Samsung's line of Galaxy phones can last anywhere between 11 and 13 hours, depending on the model.  unmoving , there are ways to get more out of any phone.


Menu settings will differ based on which phone you're using; in this story, we used a Samsung Galaxy S 20 FE running Android 11. But all Android devices should have similar features. With this caveat in mind, here are some  idea to  better the battery life on your Android phone.


1. Turn On Power Saving Mode



  Think you're going to be stuck in a situation where you need your phone battery to last longer than it normally does? Switch your phone into power saver mode, which automatically cuts back on functions that may eat battery life. On our test  feature , we opened Settings > Battery and device care, then tapped the Battery entry.


  beneath the battery usage chart, we  authorized Power saving mode to  instantly limit networking, syncing, and location services, and turn down the screen's refresh rate.  thought , by tapping Power saving mode, we could further customize the feature by turning off the Always on Display, limiting CPU speed to 70%, or reduse brightness by 10% in order to save even more battery life.


For maximum power-saving, the Limit apps and Home screen option enables only selected apps and limits all background activity when power saving mode is turned on. For older versions of Android, you may be offered multiple power saving mode presets, each with a different balance between performance and battery life.


  2. Airplane Mode Is Your Friend 



Sending and receiving wireless signals can strain your phone's battery, so consider turning on Airplane mode whenever you don't need to use your network data. Your easiest option: open the pull-down shade and tap the Airplane mode button to instantly disconnect your phone from Wi-Fi, disable Bluetooth, and turn off mobile data. Tap it again to restore access.

3. Your Screen Is Too Bright


Smartphone screens are big and bright, but they're also battery hogs. You probably don't need your device turned up to the brightest setting. Go into your Display settings and turn down the brightness on the screen. You can also open the pull-down screen and control the brightness from there. While you're at it, consider disabling auto brightness. This feature adjusts based on your perceived needs but can also raise the brightness of your display higher than it needs to be. Turn off the switch next to Adaptive brightness and your eyes (and battery) will thank you.

4. Let Your Screen Turn Off


Speaking of your phone screen, it's OK to let it turn off when not in use. That means changing how long the screen stays on under Display settings. Find the Screen timeout option and set it so that your screen turns off sooner when not in use.


Also, that always-on display that tells the time and date even when the phone screen is off? Shut it down. Head to your phone's lock screen settings and select Always on Display. You can set a schedule for it to turn off when you don't need it, set it to only display when you tap the screen, or shut it off completely.

5. Turn Off Active Listening




If you activate your voice assistant with a wake word, your device is constantly listening to you and using up battery life while it waits. You may find this convenient, but it costs more power than it's worth. Whether it's Google Assistant or Samsung's Bixby, you can turn this feature off and save a little extra juice.


 If you're constantly bumping into issues with Bixby, you can simply turn the whole thing off. Here are detailed instructions on how to disable Bixby on your phone.

 

6. Try Dark Mode With the Right Screen




 
Dark mode is nice on the eyes, but it doesn't really do anything for your battery unless your device has an OLED or AMOLED display. Most older phones use LCD screens, but flagship phones from Samsung, OnePlus, and Google have transitioned to using this newer display technology.

If you have a phone with an OLED or AMOLED display, it means the phone actually turns off the pixels that are displaying black, so you're saving some battery when all those bright white panels have now gone dark. According to iFixit(Opens in a new window), you could be saving as much as an hour of battery life by switching on dark mode.

Some phones have dark mode in Android 9 (Pie), but it wasn't until the release of Android 10 that all phones received the option. Open the pull-down shade and tap Dark Mode to turn it on and off. Otherwise, open your phone's Display settings to make the choice. You can also tap Dark mode settings to schedule when dark mode should go on.

7. Take Control of Your Apps



Apps continue to run in the background even when you aren't using them. This will, of course, eat up data and battery life over time. You can put unused apps to sleep under Battery or App Power Management settings. Choose Background usage limits and enable Put unused apps to sleep to prevent apps from wasting your battery life.

You can go a step further and manually tell your phone to put certain apps to sleep. Select Sleeping apps or Deep sleeping apps, then tap the plus (+) icon and add your app to the list. Keep in mind that sleeping apps will only receive updates occasionally and deep sleeping apps will not work unless they are in use, so updates may be delayed.

8. Dumb Down Your Phone



Modern smartphones are like small supercomputers that fit in your hand, but you don't really need the processor running at full speed all the time if you're just searching the web. Stop the phone from overworking itself by opening the Battery settings and finding Enhanced processing, an option that will ensure faster data processing at the cost of longer battery life. Make sure this is disabled. 

Another item to take control of is the refresh rate of your screen. Turning this up higher can help make animations on the screen look smoother, but it's not necessary and it uses more battery than normal. Open Display settings and find Motion smoothness, then make sure you're set to the standard 60Hz screen refresh rate instead of the enhanced 120Hz or higher.
